  Review : Visited on 24 th March,25. Umananda Temple is a rare spiritual and cultural gem nestled on the serene Umananda Island amid the Brahmaputra River. This temple, with intricate architecture and scenic surroundings, provides a peaceful retreat to all those exploring Assam. Reaching the temple is possible only by boat, and it becomes a memorable experience that goes with the adventure of visiting this historic place. The Umananda Temple Timings are highly convenient for visitors. It is open from 5:30 AM to 6:00 PM daily. The early morning hours provide a serene atmosphere to explore the temple. The evening hours reveal a magical view as the sun sets over the Brahmaputra. Government ferry stats at 9 am and cost 40 rs. Private ferry @rs200. You can return in any ferry.

  Review : A peaceful place located on an island in the middle of Brahmaputra river. It houses a shiva temple. The boat ride to this place is the exciting part. Do bring water bottle with you as people over charge for water bottle on the island.

  Review : To reach the temple, one needs to go to the Umananda river island by ferry. There are govt ferries and private ferries. The govt ferries have a fixed time and fixed price, whereas for the private ferries, they charge exorbitantly. They asked for 5k for a 5-min route to and fro. We paid 3k but still it was somehow too much. Talking about the island, the river was dirty. The weather was humid. There was a long line for the temple to enter. It was okay for a one-time visit.

  Review : Visiting such temples is an experience in itself. The temple is situated on a small river island on the mighty Bhramaputra river and one needs to pay for a ferry ride to visit the temple. Government run ferries cost ₹20 whereas the private ones cost ₹200. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and offers a tranquil retreat from bustling city life. The sanctum sanctorum houses a Shiva Linga and several smaller shrines. Visitors need to ascend around 150 steps to reach the temple. Some of the pandits inside offered us a special and easy darshan within 5 min to the temple by soliciting 500₹ fees per person, even when no such official system exists. We politely refused and waited in the line and were able to do the darshan within 30-45 min. Such experiences are unfortunately not uncommon here in Indian temples. So one should be careful about them. Overall, the visit was memorable and the temple offers a very peaceful ambience.

  Review : Good place to visit. Shiv temple. A small island. You can book tickets online for stemmer or boat. Try to book Govt boats. It will cost only ₹40. Private boats are also available, but it's not good and it charges ₹200.
