Review : One of the most divine and serene temples in Tamil Nadu, Thiruchendur Murugan Temple stands right on the seashore — a rare and beautiful sight. The temple is well-maintained, and the sea breeze adds a unique spiritual feel to the visit.
The surroundings are clean, and crowd movement is managed well during non-festival days. The darshan is smooth if you plan your timing right. There's enough space for sitting, relaxing, and even soaking in the view of the sea.
The beach nearby is a bonus – you can take a quiet walk or dip your feet in the water. Cloakroom and restroom facilities are available, though they can be improved during peak hours.
Overall, a powerful spiritual experience in a peaceful coastal setting. - Star Rating :

Review : Very dirty around. Very long lines. They say it’s a very powerful place that’s the only one on the coast was not damaged by the tsunami. People come to pray especially the ones who have extra big problems (according to Indians) like not being able to procreate. Better to come in early morning time (4-5 am) to avoid the long lines. It’s also better to take a bath in the sea first - Star Rating :

Review : Famous and popular temple for tourists. Suggest early morning or late evening Darshan. Too much of heat on the day we visited. Need to park the vehicles one km away and hire an auto to reach temple. Free and paid Darshan available, huge temple and crowdy. Excellent sea view. Beautification process was in full swing. Must visit place - Star Rating :

Review : The Arulmigu Subramanya Swamy Temple, Tiruchendur, commonly known as Thiruchendur Murugan Temple, is a highly revered ancient Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Murugan (Kartikeya). It is one of the six abodes of Murugan (Arupadaiveedu) in Tamil Nadu, India, and uniquely, it is the only one situated on the seashore, specifically on the shores of the Bay of Bengal in Thoothukudi district. The temple's history is deeply rooted in the Hindu legend of Lord Murugan's victory over the demon king Surapadman. It is believed that Murugan camped here before and after the battle, and the temple was built as a symbol of his triumph and his worship of Lord Shiva after the victory. The temple complex is vast, measuring 91 meters (299 ft) north to south and 65 meters (213 ft) east to west. It is considered one of the largest temple complexes in South India.
