Review : The temple with a huge historical background and mesmerizing truths inside is not maintained well is very disappointing me🥺. Although the maintenance is with dekshidars the government should also take initiative to maintain the sanitary measures (like faciliting more washrooms outside the temple complex which space owned by govt or private lands in rental . Faciltating drinking water (Ro) in and out of temple premises.Funding temple authority for renovation works in premises which in need). There is no washrooms nearby is clean and if it is ,not affordable by common man this should be considered by govt... The temple still with unpainted walls shows it weaker management - Star Rating :

Review : One of the large temples of India. Very beautiful and peaceful here. Pace of people here is sedate.
Few things that new visitors should be aware. Prasad is in handed over by hand, not using spoon or any utensil. Those not used to it will feel uncomfortable. Everywhere we went, some young pundit would be there with register asking where you are coming from and asking for your details. They tell you that they don't have hundi facility. But we can donate how much ever we want. They tell you that pooja will be performed every year and Prasad will be sent to your home. We came across many such counters. Same thing is said in all the counters. It is only when we offered details before leaving and were planning to pay some donation, we were told that membership / subscription registration is 3000 rupees and for every year. I appreciate that this temple is not in the hands of government. Appreciate the priests for fighting to keep this out of government hands. But they need to be open with visiting pilgrims. If such membership or subscription is required, publish that openly and people will donate. Also allow for one time donations of any amount. Note that no where during aarti etc did any priests ask for any money. You will not miss their dedication and love for the temple. They will be performing ritual cleansing of idols in the walls / entrance of the temple. Young students undergoing vedic studies. It feels natural to donate to keep this preserved. This is my humble suggestion so that pilgrims are not surprised or leave with any ill feeling. - Star Rating :

Review : The Thillai Nataraja Temple in Chidambaram stands as one of India’s most sacred and architecturally magnificent temples, with a history spanning over a millennium. Built in the 10th century when Chidambaram was the capital of the Chola dynasty , this temple holds immense religious and cultural significance.
It is one of the five holiest Shiva temples called Pancha Bhoota Sthalam, each representing one of the five elements. This temple represents akasha symbolizing space . Here Lord Shiva is worshipped as “Akasha Lingam”.
The temple is renowned for its unique representation of Lord Shiva as Nataraja, the dancer.
The temple’s crowd management system needs significant improvement. Long, unorganized queues can detract from the spiritual experience, especially during peak hours and festival times. Better crowd control measures, designated pathways, and time-slot systems could enhance visitor comfort and safety.
