🌸 Shri Vishalakshi Mata Shaktipeeth Temple: A Divine Gem Often Overlooked in Kashi 🌸
Tucked away in the sacred lanes of Kashi lies one of the most powerful yet often missed temples; Shri Vishalakshi Mata Shaktipeeth. While millions come to Kashi for darshan of Baba Vishwanath, many remain unaware that Maa Vishalakshi, one of the 51 Shaktipeethas, resides just nearby, radiating immense spiritual energy and motherly compassion.
This temple holds immense significance, it is believed to be the sacred spot where Maa Sati’s earrings (kundal) fell, making it a spiritually charged site where Shakti and Shiva dwell in eternal union. For seekers of Shakti (divine feminine energy) and inner awakening, this temple is a must-visit.
Despite its spiritual power, it often remains out of the typical pilgrimage itinerary. But once you enter the serene sanctum and gaze upon Maa Vishalakshi's murti adorned in vibrant sarees and flowers, you will feel an instant connection, as if a mother is embracing her child.
🛕 Temple Tips:
It’s just a short walk from Kashi Vishwanath Temple and Manikarnika Ghat.
The temple is peaceful and less crowded, making it perfect for quiet devotion.
Devotees often offer sarees, bangles, and sindoor to the Devi.
If you’re visiting Kashi, don’t miss this sacred jewel. Your spiritual journey will feel incomplete without seeking the blessings of Maa Vishalakshi, the all-seeing, all-loving Mother of Kashi.

Review : Very peaceful and beautiful temple. Free from any kind of rush. Nice setup for shoes and sitting. Stalls selling offerings for the goddess is also available but very few in number. The temple is situated in a small alley so it is little bit difficult to find but it is very close to Meer Ghat and the local people are also very helpful. - Star Rating :

Review : Though it is one of the Shakthi peetam of Maa Durga…. The temple is very simple.
I visited the temple in last hours and participated in the last Harathi of the day. Blessed to be one of the four devotees present in the ritual.
Had a great Darshana and offered Prasadam by the pandit, placed at the foot of the Maa Visaalaakahi.
I’m the busy and narrow streets of Kashi the night Aarthi is quite different. - Star Rating :

Review : This Shaktipeetha is nestled deep in the streets of Kashi. Very close to Kashi Vishwanath Jyotrilinga. I'd go here first then to Kashi Vishwanath.
There are no tickets or anything to go here for Darshan. The 🛕 is closed from 11 AM to 1 PM for Bhog. I'd say go there before 11 as it gets really busy. I'm happy and grateful I got to cover this Shaktipeeth and did Darshan.
