I recently visited Grishneshwar Jyotirlinga, one of the 12 Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva, located near Ellora Caves in Aurangabad, Maharashtra. We reached in the Temple 5.00 O' Clock in the morning. We have taken VIP ticket in advance. The rush at that time in the mandir was very less.for Darshan of the Jyotirling we have to take Dhoti and no clothes on the upper parts of Body. Inside of the temple we have asked Pandit ji for Rudra- Abhishek and agree. Pt. Ji have taken 30 minutes for Rudra-Abhishek. Pooja inside of Temple was a great happy moments for us
The temple is about 30 km from Aurangabad and 100 km from Shirdi.
Grishneshwar is believed to be the last and smallest of the 12 Jyotirlingas. The temple was rebuilt in the 18th century by Queen Ahilyabai Holkar of Indore. According to legend, a woman named Ghushma (Grishni) was a great devotee of Lord Shiva. When her son was killed, she continued chanting Shiva’s name, and Lord Shiva revived her son. In her honor, this Jyotirlinga was named Grishneshwar.
The temple’s architecture is simple but beautiful, made of red basalt stone with detailed carvings of Hindu gods and goddesses. The main Shiva Linga is a swayambhu (self-manifested) Jyotirlinga.
The temple has a peaceful atmosphere.
One of the biggest issues is the local touts and priests . They claim to offer "early darshan" for money. The temple authorities need to take strict action against such practices.
Grishneshwar Jyotirlinga is a must-visit for Shiva devotees, but be prepared for crowd mismanagement.Despite the chaos, the spiritual experience is powerful, and the temple’s historical significance makes it a sacred place. - Star Rating :

Review : It was a truly soulful experience for me. This place is one of the 12 Divine Jyotirlingas. If you want to calm your soul, this place is highly recommended—especially if you visit when it's not crowded. Tuesdays are usually less crowded because the Ellora Caves are closed. Also, phones are not allowed inside the temple, which is a great thing. However, I noticed that the people managing the phone deposit counter (who charge ₹20 per phone) were secretly giving tips to visitors on how to sneak phones inside the temple without getting caught. - Star Rating :

Review : Grushneshwar Jyotirlinga is a truly divine and spiritually uplifting place. The temple architecture is beautiful, and the overall atmosphere is peaceful and powerful—perfect for those seeking a deep spiritual experience.
However, one thing that stood out was the high amount charged by some pandits for the abhishek (ritual offering) of the Shivling. It felt a bit commercialized, which takes away from the purity of the experience for devotees who come with faith and devotion. It would be great if there were more transparency or standardized offerings for rituals.
Still, it's a must-visit for anyone following the Jyotirlinga pilgrimage or seeking Lord Shiva's blessings.

However, I did face one inconvenience – there aren’t many good hotels or lodging options near the temple area. Despite that, the overall experience was unforgettable. Review : Very beautiful temple. There was not much rush. You can have a peaceful darshan here no one asks you to leave immediately and the pandit/pujari do ask you to offer Gangajal on the shivling.
Not many people come here even if it is 12th shivling
