  Review : I recently visited Navagraha Temple, located on top of Navagraha Hill in Guwahati, and it was a truly peaceful and divine experience. The temple is dedicated to the nine celestial planets (Navagrahas), and each one is represented by a Shiva Linga. The spiritual energy here is very calming, and the chants and atmosphere make it a special place to visit. The view from the top is absolutely beautiful — you get a clear view of the city and the Brahmaputra River, especially during sunrise or sunset. The walk or drive uphill is smooth, and there’s a calm vibe all around. I also saw many people offering puja to reduce the negative effects of certain planets in their horoscopes. There’s no entry fee, and you can buy flowers, diyas, and offerings just outside the temple. It’s well-maintained and clean.   Review : Navagraha Mandir Guwahati Assam Located on Navagraha Pahar or Chitrachal Pahar in Guwahati. A very old temple and most probably was renovated/rebuilt by Raja Rajeswar Singha. It was damaged due to earthquake in 1837. The inscriptions show the nine planets holding the Sun. Daily puja is carried out. People perform Yagna here. Navagraha Mandir is around 3.1 km from Guwahati Rail Station. A beautiful view of the Guwahati City and Bhrahmaputra river can be observed from there. ****

  Review : A unique temple dedicated to astrology and celestial bodies, namely Ravi, Som (Chandra), Mangal, Rahu, Ketu, Shani, Brihaspati, Shukra and Buddh, each represented by a lingam. The priest told us that coloured cloth pieces are the usual offerings where the colour signifies which planet it is for, for example blue for shani, yellow for guru, green for venus, etc. The temple premises house a huge platoon of playful monkeys. One can go round the temple and see the Brahmaputra at a distance or get a good view of Guwahati city on the other side. It is equally good for a quick visit as well as to sit for a while and meditate inside the temple.
