  Review : Divine and historically rich, Ambabai Temple also known as Mahalakshmi Temple in Kolhapur is a must-visit. As one of the three and half shaktipeethas, it attracts devotees nationwide. The Hemadpanthi architectural style, dating back to the 6th-7th century Chalukya Dynasty, boasts intricate carvings of Hindu gods. The temple underwent gradual development and expansion under various rulers and contributors. The temple premises have various shops, and outside too but parking can be challenging, especially on Tuesdays and Fridays. As per tradition, many visit this temple after Tirupati Balaji. Despite the crowds, the spiritual energy and historical significance make it an unforgettable experience. Plan your visit accordingly and enjoy the devin blessings.

  Review : I visited Mahalakshmi Temple in Kolhapur very late at night, just before closing time. It turned out to be a blessing in disguise! There were very few people at that time, so I got to have a peaceful and relaxed darshan. The temple felt even more divine and calm in the quiet night atmosphere. I could really take my time and feel connected without any rush. It was truly a special experience and one I will always remember.   Review : One of the must-visit places in Maharashtra – Sri Mahalakshmi Ambabai Temple, a sacred Shakti Peeth. I had always dreamt of coming here, and it truly lived up to the feeling. The day I visited, there was a big occasion, and the line was really long – people waited 4 to 5 hours for darshan. But what I loved most? No VIP culture here. Everyone, from all walks of life, stands in the same line. That felt fair and pure. There’s also a special area outside the main temple where you can peacefully stand and get darshan of the main deity. The vibe is calm, sacred, and powerful. Multiple grand gates welcome you in. Though some areas around the temple were under construction, the beauty of the place shines through. The carvings, the walls – you can feel the history. The top part was destroyed long ago, but the rest still speaks of the glory. Souvenir shops are nearby if you want to take back something memorable. Overall, a lovely, divine experience.

  Review : The temple of the goddess Mahalakshmi was built by Karnadeva in 634 CE Chalukya reign.[2] Mounted on a stone platform, the murti of the crowned goddess is made of gemstone and weighs about 40 kilograms. The image of Mahalakshmi carved in black stone is 3 feet in height. The Shri Yantra is carved on one of the walls in the temple. A stone lion (the vahana of the goddess), stands behind the statue. The crown contains a five headed snake. Furthermore, she holds a Matulinga fruit, mace, shield and a pānapātra (drinking bowl). Skanda Purana, Goddess Ambabai is praised as "Om Karaveera Nivasiniye Namaha" means "Glory to the Goddess who lives in Karaveera" [citation needed] Professor Prabhakar Malshe says, "The name of Karaveera is still locally used to denote the city of Kolhapur
