Review : I recently visited ISKCON Mayapur, the global headquarters of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON), and it was a truly divine experience. Located in West Bengal, this spiritual hub is nestled on the banks of the Ganges and offers a peaceful retreat from the chaos of daily life.
The highlight of my visit was the Temple of the Vedic Planetarium, an architectural marvel that blends modern design with ancient spiritual wisdom. The temple’s grandeur, intricate carvings, and massive dome left me in awe. The main altar, adorned with beautifully decorated deities of Sri Sri Radha Madhava, Lord Nrsimhadeva, and Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, was mesmerizing.
The atmosphere was filled with devotion as devotees chanted Hare Krishna kirtans, creating a deeply spiritual and uplifting experience. The Ganga river nearby added to the serene surroundings, making it an ideal place for meditation and reflection.
ISKCON Mayapur also offers delicious prasadam (sanctified food), which was a delightful part of my visit. The temple complex includes a museum, gardens, and a goshala (cow sanctuary), making it a well-rounded spiritual destination.
Whether you are a follower of Lord Krishna or simply a traveler looking for peace and enlightenment, ISKCON Mayapur is a must-visit. The energy, devotion, and beauty of this sacred place make it an unforgettable experience. I highly recommend visiting during Gaura Purnima, the grand festival celebrating the appearance of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, for an even more vibrant experience! - Star Rating :
