Zuluk (also known as Dzuluk or Zuluk) is a small hamlet located at a high altitude in the East Sikkim district of India. It's known for its stunning views of the Eastern Himalayas, winding roads, and natural beauty. It was once a transit point on the trade route between Tibet and India, making it a historical and captivating destination.
Autumn (September to November) offers reliable weather and clear views. Spring (March to May) is also good for pleasant weather and colorful landscapes. Winter (December to February) is extremely cold with heavy snowfall, making travel difficult. Monsoon (June to August) brings heavy rainfall and poor visibility.

A 2-3 day trip is ideal to explore Zuluk and surrounding attractions, allowing time to acclimatize to the altitude and enjoy the scenery.
The nearest airport is Pakyong Airport (PYG) near Gangtok, but flights are not always regular. The most reliable airport is Bagdogra Airport (IXB) in West Bengal. From Bagdogra, hire a taxi or take a shared jeep to Gangtok. From Gangtok, obtain permits and hire another vehicle to reach Zuluk (5-6 hours).
Zuluk is accessible by road from Gangtok. Hire a vehicle (preferably an SUV) with a driver familiar with the terrain. A permit is required. Book your transport and permits in advance.
The nearest railway station is New Jalpaiguri (NJP) in West Bengal. From NJP, hire a taxi or take a shared jeep to Gangtok. From Gangtok, obtain permits and hire another vehicle to reach Zuluk (5-6 hours).
